Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how myLine collects, uses, and shares information through mylinecompany.com and the myLine iOS app.
1. Information We Collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the apps you say you want myLine for most. If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to send.
When you use the website or app, we may collect analytics and technical context such as page views, button taps, device and browser information, user agent, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, timezone, locale, language preferences, screen and viewport size, device pixel ratio, hardware concurrency, touch support, referral source, landing URL, and feature usage.
We may create a hashed browser/device fingerprint from this technical context to help deduplicate waitlist entries, understand demand, prevent abuse, and debug signup issues. We do not use hidden canvas or audio fingerprinting on the waitlist page.
The iOS app may use Shortcuts automation, notifications, and related on-device state so myLine can show selected updates before supported social apps open.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate myLine, manage the waitlist, notify you about launch or product updates, understand which apps people want help with, improve the product, debug issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Analytics and Service Providers
We use PostHog for analytics and product measurement. PostHog may receive usage events and related metadata so we can understand what is working and improve myLine.
We may use hosted databases, deployment providers, push notification services, and object storage to operate the waitlist, app endpoints, creative assets, analytics, and notifications.
4. Social App and Automation Data
myLine is designed around sensitive social-app context. We aim to collect only what we need to provide and improve the app.
Where possible, shortcut setup, selected target apps, intervention state, and continue/dismiss behavior are handled on device or as anonymous per-install events. If future features require account-based storage, we will update this policy before collecting additional data for that purpose.
5. Legal Bases and Choices
Where required, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving myLine, performance of a contract with you, and compliance with law.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the instructions in the email or by contacting hello@mylinecompany.com. You can also limit analytics through browser, device, or app settings where available.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including waitlist management, product operations, analytics, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
7. Children
myLine is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact hello@mylinecompany.com.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as myLine changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
